Integration of Natural-Based Solutions (NbS) with Gender Priority in Flash Flood Mitigation

This program is a collaborative effort between Binus University and Jember University. This joint initiative focuses on addressing the challenge of flash floods in the Sub basin Upstream Mayang, located in the Jember District of East Java.on

Flash floods pose a significant threat to communities, causing widespread damage to infrastructure, homes, and livelihoods. In response to this pressing issue, our research aims to develop sustainable and inclusive solutions by integrating natural-based approaches with a focus on gender priorities.

The collaboration between Binus University and Jember University strengthens our research efforts, bringing together expertise from both institutions to tackle this complex challenge. Through collaborative research, knowledge sharing, and community engagement, we aim to develop innovative solutions that have a meaningful impact on disaster resilience and environmental sustainability.

The case study in the Sub basin Downstream Mayang serves as a model for integrating natural-based solutions with gender priorities in disaster mitigation efforts. Our project emphasizes the importance of local relevance and community engagement, setting a benchmark for future initiatives in disaster management and environmental sustainability.
