Programs
Use of Marginal Aggregate on Road Pavement

This program is supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology for the year 2023. It focuses on analysing techniques for utilizing marginal aggregates as pavement layers, specifically as subbase material. This innovative approach aims to enhance the sustainability and cost-effectiveness of road construction projects by making use of materials that are often considered substandard or unsuitable for high-performance applications.
Marginal aggregates, typically overlooked in traditional construction, hold potential for significant environmental and economic benefits. By researching and developing effective methods for their use, we aim to reduce the dependency on high-quality, often scarce, natural resources.
By advancing the use of marginal aggregates, we aim to contribute to more sustainable road construction practices, reduce construction costs, and promote the efficient use of available resources. This program underscores our commitment to innovation and sustainability in the civil engineering field.
